If you cannot find the answer to your question here please feel free to contact a member of our support team
How can I pick a different message?

On the Immediate screen, in the box that shows your message preview, click the CHANGE link at the end of the message. This will open up the categories page and let you navigate to another template message.

Can I customise my own reminder?

Yes. On the Settings page you can enter in your own reminder message to customize it to your requirements.

To personalize a message so that it includes relevant information such as the appointment date and time DiaryBook provides a series of merge fields that you can use.

A merge field is surrounded by double-carats ^^. For example: ^^name^^ is replaced with the client's name.

Field Use
^^name^^The first name of the client
^^user^^Your first name
^^phone^^Your phone number
^^time^^The time of the appointment e.g. 10:00
^^date^^The date of the appointment e.g. 27/11/2014

Please note: to avoid abuse of the DiaryBook service, this setting is only available after the registered user has confirmed their identity by performing a valid credit card transaction.
Can I customize the Sender ID of the reminder?

Yes. "DiaryBook" is the initial Sender ID setting for reminders that do not request responses. If you're using a reminder that requests a response the reminder will come from a DiaryBook mobile number thus enabling your DiaryBook account to receive the reply.

For non-response reminders you can customize your Sender Id in the Settings Page. Custom Sender IDs are limited to a maximum of 11 characters and cannot include spaces. They are also all upper-case.

Please note: to avoid abuse of the DiaryBook service, this setting is only available after the registered user has confirmed their identity by performing a valid credit card transaction.
Where is the Sender ID setting?

The Sender ID setting is on the settings page.

A custom Sender ID can only be used when Replies are turned off. When Replies are turned on DiaryBook needs to use a special reply mobile number as the Sender ID to enable the user to reply. It hides the Sender ID field.

The number DiaryBook uses as the Sender ID is one of a pool of numbers that DiaryBook uses. These numbers are shared reply numbers which means not all messages sent to them are directed to your DiaryBook account.

I cannot change my Sender ID/Reminder
To avoid abuse of the DiaryBook service we restrict the change of these settings until a valid credit card transaction has been performed.
Can I send to International mobile numbers?

Yes. However, initially your account is restricted. Once your account is trusted, generally after your email address is confirmed and you have purchased credits, your account is free to send to international numbers. Currently diarybook.co.uk only operates within the EU.

To send to an international number you must type the number in its international format starting with a plus sign (+). For the technically-minded readers it's called E.164

Does my customer get charged?

DiaryBook does not impose any charges on your customer. It is the same as sending them a text from your own mobile phone. They may incur a charge from their Mobile Operator if, for example, they are roaming in a foreign country at the time the message was sent.

How is my credit card charged?

We use Stripe to process our credit card transactions. We chose Stripe because of their enhanced security setup. Your credit card details never reach our server which makes DiaryBook 100% PCI compliant.
